FOUR LOOPS, ONE ROUTE
EVENT FORMAT
This is an event with no official route. There are four loops to choose from of varying distance and it is up to you whether you run all of them or stick to one you like.
The route is made up of four loops: Green, Blue, Red and Black. The loops range from 3 to 8 miles and total up to 20 miles.
All loops start and finish within the Event Village so perfect for runners looking to go a long distance as you're never far away from your base and food and drink. Plus a constant crowd of people to help you keep going.
RUN WHEN YOU WANT, HOW YOU WANT
HOW IT WORKS
At Luna Trail it's up to you, how you want to take on the challenge of 12 hours. You do not have to complete each loop or take them on in any particular order.
Stop and start again when you want.
AS A TEAM: Team mates will run one at a time to log as many miles / collect points as a team across the 12 hours.
SOLO: You have the choice on how you build up your miles. Some runners choose to do all four loops in order, others find a loop they enjoy the most and repeat.
The benefit of starting / finishing each loop within the event village allows you to plan your nutrition and breaks, or gives you the flexibility to keep going if you are feeling strong.
All runners / teams will be given trackers for safety and timing.
The Event Village
Included in your registration is a village of strangers rooting for you to succeed.
All loops start and finish within the Event Village, next to the camping, which is perfect for runners looking to go a long distance.
Food and drink will also be available to purchase from pizza to coffee, to keep you fuelled.
Good times, camaraderie and new friends guaranteed.
PERFORMANCES AND MEDALS
We will be awarding Gold, Silver and Bronze medals based on points you collate for number of loops completed.
BUT REMEMBER - it's not all about the points, it's about how much fun you have and the memories you make!

SIGNAGE AND SAFETY
FULLY SIGNED ROUTE
Running on trails within thousands of acres is amazing but it can come with some obvious concerns.
There will be hundreds of you out on the loops at the same time, so there will always be someone not far in front of you or behind you.
We will be using reflective signage and solar lights that will help mark the course in lower light levels and in woodland.
At various points the loops run alongside each other, so as you build up your mileage you will become very familiar with where you are going.
